As the sentencing hearing for José María “Chema” N. approaches, the man found guilty of the disappearance of Paulina Camargo and her baby in August 2015, Paulina’s mother, Roció Limón, is calling for the harshest possible punishment.
In an interview, Limón emphasized that José María “N” remains a threat to society. Despite his conviction, he has shown no remorse and has yet to reveal any information about what happened to Paulina, who has now been missing for over a decade.
Limón expressed her wish for a life sentence, but since that is not an option, she is demanding the maximum penalty or at least a sentence that serves as a strong example. Still, she acknowledges that no sentence can fully restore her peace, as there are still no leads on Paulina’s whereabouts.
The hearing is scheduled for this Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Centro de Justicia de la 11 Sur. As in previous sessions, banners and posters bearing Paulina’s image have been displayed outside the courthouse.
The Camargo Limón family’s legal team remains inside the court, awaiting the final ruling and the decision on reparations for the indirect victims. The outcome of this process is expected to be announced within hours.
