A driver fled the scene after colliding with a motorcyclist on the road to La Resurrección, near the thermoelectric plant in Puebla city this Sunday.
According to initial reports, the impact threw the motorcyclist several meters away, and their motorcycle was dragged about five meters by the vehicle involved. Witnesses said the driver responsible left the area and was last seen heading toward the Santa Anita neighborhood. Authorities have since launched efforts to locate the suspect.
Paramedics arrived promptly to provide emergency care to the injured motorcyclist, while security personnel carried out the necessary procedures and gathered information to support the ongoing investigation.
This incident highlights ongoing challenges in road safety and the importance of accountability on Puebla’s streets. As the city continues to develop sustainable transport options like the upcoming cablebús system, which aims to improve mobility and reduce traffic risks, addressing reckless driving remains a critical priority for public safety.
