Puebla’s Government Opens Dialogue on Cablebús Project Ahead of July 15 Congressional Report

The Puebla state government is emphasizing transparency and citizen engagement as it prepares to present a detailed technical report on the Cablebús system to the State Congress on July 15, 2026.

José Luis García Parra, Puebla’s Chief of Staff, announced on his social media that the administration remains committed to keeping the public informed about strategic mobility projects. He highlighted that the upcoming presentation will cover the project’s progress, scope, financial structure, and will include a Q&A session with legislators.

“Asumimos con responsabilidad el compromiso de informar y dialogar sobre los proyectos que transforman Puebla. El próximo 15 de julio acudiremos al Congreso para compartir avances del Sistema de Transporte por Cable, siguiendo la visión del gobernador Alejandro Armenta de trabajar con apertura, coordinación y de cara a la ciudadanía,” García Parra wrote.

This congressional session was approved by the full legislative body to ensure accountability and foster dialogue between the government and various parliamentary groups. The format includes a 20-minute initial presentation followed by questions from deputies.

The emphasis on dialogue echoes comments made yesterday by Mexico City’s Head of Government, Claudia Sheinbaum, who expressed support for open communication in infrastructure projects during her morning press conference. Sheinbaum recalled her experience coordinating the construction of the Second Level of the Periférico, where she held around 400 citizen assemblies, underscoring the value of public participation in shaping urban development.

The Puebla government frames the Cablebús as a modern, sustainable transportation solution designed to improve mobility and reduce travel times for thousands of residents. This approach aligns with broader efforts to create inclusive, efficient urban transit systems that respond to community needs.

For migrants and residents navigating Puebla’s evolving cityscape, the Cablebús promises not only a new way to move but also a model of governance that prioritizes transparency and citizen voices in public works.
