Armed Group Robs Texóloc Mayor’s Home, Stealing Over 400,000 Pesos in Cash

On the afternoon of Wednesday, June 17, 2026, a violent robbery took place at the home of David Sánchez Rincón, mayor of Texóloc, located in the El Alto neighborhood of San Damián Texóloc, Tlaxcala.

According to local authorities, at least four individuals, including a woman, forcibly entered the mayor’s residence. During the assault, one occupant—reported to be a relative of the mayor—was physically attacked and suffered a head injury, requiring medical attention.

The assailants made off with a significant amount of cash, reportedly exceeding 400,000 pesos, although this figure has not been officially confirmed. In addition to the money, they also stole a vehicle parked on the property before fleeing in an unknown direction.
