The controversy surrounding Ariana F., detained last week in San Andrés Cholula after a widely shared police intervention following a traffic incident, continues to unfold.

Recently, social media users have circulated videos originally shared by the Oaxacan outlet El Piñero, showing Ariana F. and some family members involved in public disputes and confrontations in Tuxtepec, Oaxaca. These recordings began to gain attention after the incident at Cholula’s Parque Intermunicipal went viral nationwide.

The footage depicts heated arguments and altercations that, according to the original posts, involve members of the same family. This has sparked intense debate online, with some suggesting these clips reveal a pattern of behavior similar to the recent events in Puebla. However, no official information currently links these past incidents to any ongoing investigations or legal proceedings.

Ariana F.’s case drew national attention after her detention by San Andrés Cholula municipal police during the traffic incident at Parque Intermunicipal. Videos of the arrest circulated widely, raising questions about police conduct and prompting investigations by Puebla state authorities and human rights bodies.

The Puebla State Human Rights Commission has opened an ex officio complaint against the municipal police for possible irregularities during the intervention. Meanwhile, the state government has requested a review of the officers’ actions.
