Interpol Issues Yellow Notice Two Years After Karla Alejandra’s Disappearance in Puebla

Post by usertopnews

On Thursday night, June 11, 2026, the Puebla State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) confirmed the activation of an Interpol yellow notice to help locate Karla Alejandra Tela, who disappeared nearly two years ago.

Karla Alejandra, 27, was last seen on July 14, 2024, leaving her home in the Viveros del Valle neighborhood of Puebla city, heading to a bus stop bound for Amozoc. Since then, her whereabouts have remained unknown, raising fears that she may be a victim of human trafficking.

The yellow notice is a crucial step that allows international cooperation to search for Karla Alejandra beyond Mexico’s borders, expanding the reach of efforts to find her. This development comes almost a month before the two-year anniversary of her disappearance.

Her mother, Gabriela Flores, has been advocating tirelessly for over a year to have this international alert issued. She shared that a public prosecutor once told her they wouldn’t risk their staff to search for Karla Alejandra, citing insufficient compensation for the work. Despite providing relevant information on at least three occasions, the family saw little action from the authorities.

Previous searches and raids conducted by the FGE lacked proper tools to find clues related to Karla Alejandra’s case and resulted in the detention of five unrelated individuals.

Karla Alejandra’s name gained public attention during marches leading up to the inauguration of the 2026 World Cup at Mexico City’s stadium, highlighting ongoing demands for justice and action.

This yellow notice marks a hopeful turning point in the search, emphasizing the importance of coordinated efforts and the role of state institutions in protecting vulnerable individuals and addressing human trafficking.
