On Thursday, June 4, 2026, a man accused of kidnapping escaped custody while being transferred from the Casa de Justicia in Tehuacán to the city of Puebla. The escape occurred near the municipality of Amozoc, sparking an immediate response from local authorities.

The Secretaría de Seguridad Pública (SSP) activated interinstitutional search protocols to locate the fugitive, identified as Luis Ángel “N,” who is currently linked to a kidnapping case.

Security forces quickly launched an operation in the area and surrounding points to recapture him. Meanwhile, the State Police, through the Subsecretaría de Centros Penitenciarios, informed the Fiscalía General del Estado (FGE) and detained two police officers responsible for the transfer.
