PAN\u2019s complaint cites over 200,000 homicide victims and more than 150,000 disappearances recorded during L\u00f3pez Obrador\u2019s term. It specifically criticizes the \u201cabrazos, no balazos\u201d (\u201chugs, not bullets\u201d) policy, labeling it a \u201cnarco-pact\u201d that allegedly enabled criminal groups to grow while weakening the state\u2019s capacity to combat violence. <\/p>\n
In PAN\u2019s words, this approach \u201callowed criminal groups to expand their territorial, economic, and political power while the State renounced fully exercising its authority.\u201d <\/p>\n
