According to family members, a patient waited approximately eight hours without proper medical attention despite suffering from a hemorrhage that required urgent care. The footage shows a relative confronting a doctor about the delay, expressing concern over the patient\u2019s worsening condition and the lack of timely intervention.<\/p>\n
The doctor\u2019s response has drawn widespread criticism online. In the recording, she reportedly states that she has the means to transfer her own family to another hospital if needed. When the family member pressed on the severity of the patient\u2019s state, the doctor replied, \u201cIf she dies, let me know for the death certificate,\u201d a phrase that quickly went viral and was condemned as cold and indifferent in the face of a medical emergency.<\/p>\n
This incident has reignited debates about overcrowding and long wait times at IMSS facilities, especially at this new hospital in Puebla, which was opened to replace the San Alejandro Hospital after it was damaged by the 2017 earthquake.<\/p>\n
