He recounted a private breakfast meeting with L\u00f3pez Obrador where he presented evidence to support his claims.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI went to speak with President L\u00f3pez Obrador, who invited me to breakfast, and I told him what was happening in Baja California and that we needed his help because the state couldn\u2019t fall into the hands of organized crime,\u201d Bonilla said.<\/p>\n<p>When asked if he had proof, Bonilla responded, \u201cHe asked me, \u2018Do you have evidence?\u2019 I said, \u2018Yes, I have proof. Here I bring you four files of assets now involved in drug trafficking.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also told the president that he planned to make these accusations public in the Senate, emphasizing the urgency of the situation: \u201cWhen I told him this same thing, president, I said, \u2018I\u2019m going to say it in the Senate tomorrow.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bonilla stressed that he has always been direct with L\u00f3pez Obrador, urging him to visit Baja California to see the situation firsthand. \u201cI told him, \u2018Andr\u00e9s, you have to go to Baja California.\u2019\u201d He added, \u201cThe one who warns is not a traitor. I have to tell you this is happening in Baja California.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Regarding his relationship with Governor Marina del Pilar, Bonilla stated that they do not communicate and denied facilitating any contacts with U.S. authorities.
