On Monday, July 6, 2026, the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco) once again called out a gas station in Puebla for charging one of the highest diesel prices in the country. <\/p>\n
During the \u201cQui\u00e9n es Qui\u00e9n en los Combustibles\u201d report presented at the Mexican government\u2019s morning conference, Profeco highlighted the BP Osiris S.A. de C.V. station located on the Puebla\u2013Acatzingo highway, kilometer 135, in Amozoc municipality. This station was selling diesel at 29.99 pesos per liter. <\/p>\n
According to Profeco, this gas station is not complying with the federal government\u2019s strategy to keep fuel prices affordable. The report also revealed that the station\u2019s profit margin is 4.09 pesos per liter, one of the highest nationwide. <\/p>\n
This is not the first time a BP station in Puebla has been flagged by Profeco. Just weeks ago, another BP location on Avenida 18 de Noviembre in Puebla city was also reported for selling diesel at the same price of 29.99 pesos per liter. <\/p>\n
In contrast, Profeco noted that stations with the lowest diesel prices in Mexico sell it for under 27 pesos per liter. The agency reiterated its call for fuel retailers to respect agreements aimed at preventing excessive price hikes. <\/p>\n
