Ulises Bravo Molina, former leader of Morena in Morelos and half-brother of ex-governor Cuauht\u00e9moc Blanco Bravo, has been linked to a domestic violence case for the second time. The charges stem from alleged abuse against his ex-partner, Liu Le\u00f3n Luna, who is also the mother of his daughter. <\/p>\n
This decision was made by the Third Criminal Chamber of the Superior Court of Justice (TSJ) of Morelos, which overturned a previous ruling that had dismissed the case. Following a court order from an amparo ruling, the TSJ was instructed to issue a new linkage to process and continue with the complementary investigation. <\/p>\n
The resolution was notified to the involved parties on Thursday, July 2, 2026, according to Na\u00fam Rodrigo Flores Mesa, the legal advisor for the victim. He explained that the ruling is part of criminal case number 170\/2024-7-14-OP, linked to administrative file JC\/303\/2024. <\/p>\n
The court\u2019s decision specifically addresses incidents that allegedly took place on February 14, 2020, and July 24, 2023, both involving Liu Le\u00f3n Luna. The charges fall under Article 202 Bis of the Morelos Penal Code, which criminalizes domestic violence. <\/p>\n
Flores Mesa clarified that the new ruling follows a directive from a Collegiate Tribunal, which ordered the responsible authority\u2014the Third Criminal Chamber\u2014to reconsider the case with full jurisdiction and based on all evidence in the file. <\/p>\n
\u201cAfter reviewing all the evidence, the court determined there are sufficient grounds to proceed with the criminal process,\u201d Flores Mesa said. <\/p>\n
Ulises Bravo Molina had been linked to the case before, but that decision was challenged through various legal appeals, culminating in the amparo trial. The recent ruling reinstates the linkage to process, signaling that the investigation will move forward. <\/p>\n
The court also instructed the judge handling the case to schedule a hearing to set the timeline for the complementary investigation, as outlined in Article 321 of the National Code of Criminal Procedures. The hearing date will depend on the court\u2019s calendar and will take place at the Control Court of the Single Judicial District, based in Atlacholoaya, Xochitepec municipality. <\/p>\n
Regarding precautionary measures, Flores Mesa confirmed that those imposed during the initial linkage remain in effect. These include a mandatory biweekly check-in with the authorities. <\/p>\n
As a result, Ulises Bravo Molina will continue the legal process while remaining free, under the obligation to report every 15 days. <\/p>\n
The defense still has the option to file legal appeals, but the current ruling is a direct consequence of the amparo order, and the case is expected to proceed to the next investigative phase. <\/p>\n
Liu Le\u00f3n Luna filed the complaint in mid-2023, when Bravo Molina was still serving as president of Morena\u2019s State Executive Committee in Morelos. The ongoing criminal process addresses the allegations of domestic violence reported at that time. <\/p>\n
