The suspects, traveling on a motorcycle, threatened the family with firearms, took the cash and the victim\u2019s car keys, and fled the scene. <\/p>\n
Despite the victim\u2019s calls for help, no authorities responded to the emergency, and it remains unclear whether a formal complaint will be filed. <\/p>\n
This robbery reflects a troubling trend in Puebla, where attacks on bank customers have surged by 59% in the first quarter of 2026 compared to the same period last year. Official data from the Secretar\u00eda de Seguridad P\u00fablica (SSP) reveals that 27 such robberies were reported between January and March 2026, up from 17 in early 2025. The total amount stolen also rose sharply, reaching 6.8 million pesos\u2014nearly 1.5 million more than the previous year. <\/p>\n
