The National Electoral Institute (INE) has ruled in favor of Morena after receiving complaints about the use of the term \u201cnarcoparty\u201d by members of the PAN party. The INE\u2019s commission granted a precautionary measure, determining that the expressions used by PAN members in various publications could constitute defamation.<\/p>\n
The commission highlighted that associating Morena with drug trafficking without sufficient factual evidence amounts to false accusations and the imputation of crimes. As a result, PAN was ordered to remove 32 posts, including seven by Jorge Romero and three from the PAN Executive Committee in Chiapas.<\/p>\n
Among the content to be withdrawn are excerpts from interviews with Governor Maru Campos, where she referenced accusations from the United States against the former governor of Sinaloa, Rub\u00e9n Rocha, regarding alleged ties to organized crime.<\/p>\n
However, the complaint also requested the removal of statements by Senator Lilly T\u00e9llez about Morena\u2019s alleged connections to organized crime. The commission ruled these statements are protected under her legislative immunity.<\/p>\n
Magistrate Reyes Rodr\u00edguez noted that reviewing 1,913 records without original source cells contradicts previous tribunal criteria and ultimately benefits Morena.<\/p>\n
