In an interview on Ciro G\u00f3mez Leyva\u2019s program on Grupo F\u00f3rmula, N\u00e1poles recounted that on the night of Sunday, May 31, she was forcibly taken outside her home and held against her will for just over an hour. Despite this, the State Prosecutor\u2019s Office has shifted the narrative, now investigating her for allegedly fabricating the kidnapping. <\/p>\n
\u201cI went from being the victim to being accused of committing this crime\u2026 I am a woman of values and principles\u2026 I call this political persecution\u2026 gender-based political violence at its highest level,\u201d she said. She also requested that the Federal Prosecutor\u2019s Office (FGR) take over the investigation, emphasizing the political nature of the accusations. <\/p>\n
Adding to the controversy, N\u00e1poles denied allegations of embezzling 40 million pesos from the municipality\u2019s funds. She clarified that the money remains in the municipal accounts and that the 40 million pesos reportedly demanded as ransom were never paid. <\/p>\n
\u201cThere is no embezzlement\u2026 the money is in the municipality,\u201d she asserted. <\/p>\n
Regarding her political rights, N\u00e1poles mentioned that Morena has suspended them but said she has yet to receive official confirmation despite speaking with Ariadna Montiel about the matter. <\/p>\n
She also addressed rumors about her husband, confirming he has cooperated with authorities and is not a fugitive. Instead, she pointed out that the person who is currently on the run is her sister\u2019s former partner. <\/p>\n
