She has a long history of activism and public service, including founding the Association of Women in Struggle for Democracy in 1988.  <\/p>\n<p>Her political career spans decades:<br \/>\n&#8211; Senator since September 1, 2024, representing Morena.<br \/>\n&#8211; Member of the II Legislature of the Assembly of Representatives of the Federal District (1991\u20131994).<br \/>\n&#8211; Federal Deputy in the LVII Legislature (1997\u20131999) and LXI Legislature (2009\u20132012).<br \/>\n&#8211; Delegate of Coyoac\u00e1n (1999\u20132000), appointed by then-Governor Cuauht\u00e9moc C\u00e1rdenas.<br \/>\n&#8211; Secretary of Urban Development and Housing (SEDUVI) in Mexico City (2000\u20132006).<br \/>\n&#8211; Director General of the City\u2019s Mobility System (RTP) from 2015 to 2018.<br \/>\n&#8211; Independent Advisor on the Board of Petr\u00f3leos Mexicanos (PEMEX) from 2020 to 2024.  <\/p>\n<p>Her extensive experience in both public administration and legislative roles positions her as a strong advocate for women\u2019s rights and social inclusion.
