The incident occurred close to the Cuetzalan Mío restaurant, according to information shared by Rojas himself and local media outlets.
Known online as “Soy Eloy Rojas,” he is recognized for showcasing Puebla’s food, tourist spots, and cultural experiences through his platform “Dónde Ir Puebla.” After the theft, Eloy called on his followers and the wider community to help spread the word and assist in locating his vehicle.
Initial reports indicate the SUV was parked when a suspicious vehicle approached. Security cameras reportedly captured a person exiting the second vehicle, starting the Mazda, and driving away.
Eloy expressed his concern on social media, prompting a wave of support and shares from his audience. Meanwhile, the government of Cuautlancingo clarified that the theft did not happen within their jurisdiction but rather in San Andrés Cholula.
As of now, there have been no official updates regarding the recovery of the SUV or any arrests related to the case.
This incident highlights ongoing challenges with vehicle security in the region, underscoring the importance of community vigilance and timely information sharing.
