Apple is gearing up to launch the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in September 2026, and early leaks suggest these models will bring significant upgrades in photography, power, and energy efficiency. But these improvements come with a price tag that could hit your wallet harder than previous generations.
According to reports from MacRumors and leaker Fixed Focus Digital, the new iPhones will feature cutting-edge AI functions and one of the most powerful processors Apple has ever used—a 2-nanometer chip. This processor promises better overall performance, lower energy consumption, and longer battery life, clearly setting the Pro models apart from the standard versions.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the iPhone 18 Pro Max’s 48-megapixel camera with variable aperture—a feature already popular in some high-end Android phones. This allows the camera to adjust how much light hits the sensor depending on the scene, improving night shots, delivering sharper portraits, and giving users more creative control over depth of field.
So, what about the price? Leaks estimate the iPhone 18 Pro will cost around 1,319 euros, while the Pro Max could reach 1,469 euros. Considering the current euro-to-peso exchange rate and import costs, that translates to roughly 30,000 to 34,000 pesos for the Pro and between 34,000 and 38,000 pesos for the Pro Max in Mexico.
For many Millennials and migrants in Mexico, these prices might feel steep, but the promise of enhanced AI features and improved battery life could make the investment worthwhile—especially for those who rely on their phones for work, creativity, or staying connected across borders.
As Apple continues to push technological boundaries, it’s worth keeping an eye on how these devices fit into the broader landscape of digital tools that empower diverse communities in Mexico and beyond.
