On Saturday, May 30, 2026, a couple surprised passengers on the Uruapan cable car by making their wedding part of the ride. Though their identities remain unknown, the newlyweds celebrated their special day aboard the cable car, accompanied by their bridal party and close family.

This is not the first time a cable car has hosted a wedding ceremony in Mexico. In 2023, Christian Gamboa and Octavio López held their civil marriage aboard cabin 399 at the Periférico station on Line 2 of the Mexicable system in the State of Mexico.
