Two private drivers were involved in a rear-end collision on Calzada Zavaleta, near the curve at La Concepción, on the morning of this Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
While the vehicles—a white Nissan Versa and a maroon Honda CRV—showed only minor visible damage, the situation quickly escalated. Both drivers exited their cars and began physically fighting in the slow lane, drawing the attention of passersby. The violence, particularly as one driver struck the other on the ground, stood out even in a city like Puebla, which is known for its high rate of traffic accidents.
No police patrols were seen in the area during the incident, which disrupted the morning commute for thousands of drivers passing through this busy stretch.
Puebla consistently ranks among the Mexican cities with the most traffic accidents. While collisions are not uncommon, the level of aggression displayed in this case highlights ongoing concerns about road rage and public safety.
