A woman was detained by the Mexican Navy (Semar) in Escuinapa, Sinaloa, in an operation that resulted in the seizure of firearms, ammunition, tactical gear, and two vehicles. The images of the arrest quickly went viral, earning her the nickname “Sexsicaria.”

According to a statement from Mexico’s Security Cabinet, naval forces confiscated three long guns, one handgun, 44 rounds of ammunition, 22 magazines, two tactical vests, and two vehicles during the operation. However, authorities did not disclose details about how or where the arrest took place, nor the exact location where the woman was found.

Photos released by the Security Cabinet show the detainee under naval custody beside a highway. Other images depict the two seized vehicles in different rural areas, suggesting the operation targeted a community outside urban centers.

She, along with the seized weapons and equipment, was handed over to the corresponding Public Prosecutor’s Office, which will continue the legal process to determine her situation.
