Three days after a family reported the tragic death of their 6-year-old daughter following a minor surgery, the state health authorities took decisive action. On Monday, the Secretaría de Salud of Puebla, through the Dirección de Protección contra Riesgos Sanitarios (DPRIS), temporarily suspended three key areas of Clínica Maternidad La Sagrada Familia in San Pedro Cholula.

The suspension affects the surgical area, inpatient services, and the delivery room. Authorities also secured medications as a preventive measure to eliminate any potential health risks. This move comes after the family’s complaint on Friday night, when the girl was returned to them deceased, sparking accusations of negligence against the clinic.

This incident has stirred public outrage and unease, echoing a similar case from May involving Blanca Adriana, who died due to malpractice by a doctor with falsified credentials at Clínica Detox on Calzada Zavaleta.
