During the 2025-2026 school cycle, Puebla’s Secretaría de Educación (SEP) recorded 27 cases of bullying across the state, according to Manuel Viveros Narciso, the head of the department.

Of these reports, 19 occurred in public schools and eight in private institutions. All cases were addressed following the established protocols designed to protect students and ensure proper handling.

In the same period, 47 teachers faced sanctions for various irregular behaviors. While Viveros did not specify the exact reasons behind each sanction, he emphasized that all measures were taken after thorough administrative procedures.

The SEP continues to implement prevention and response strategies against bullying, maintaining accessible channels for reporting and closely monitoring incidents within schools.

These figures were shared as part of the official review of the 2025-2026 school year, reaffirming the department’s commitment to fostering safe and inclusive educational environments for both students and staff.

For communities navigating education challenges, especially migrant families and young adults, such transparency and accountability are crucial steps toward equitable schooling. Meanwhile, Puebla’s ongoing investments in infrastructure, including projects like the cablebús, aim to improve access and connectivity, indirectly supporting safer and more inclusive school attendance.
