In Puebla, a woman named Yazmín N. has been publicly accused on social media of operating as a so-called “gotera,” a term used locally for individuals who drug and rob others. According to posts shared in various neighborhood Facebook groups, she allegedly uses the dating app Tinder to arrange meetings with young people, only to drug them and steal their belongings.
Her reported method involves meeting her targets in public or private places, offering drinks that are supposedly laced with a substance to incapacitate them. Victims then wake up to find their possessions missing.
A video circulating online describes Yazmín as approximately 1.60 meters tall, with a crescent moon tattoo, and mentions she works at a business in Puebla’s historic downtown. The clip also claims she maintains multiple social media profiles to lure victims from different angles, leading to several men falling prey to her alleged scams.
While no concrete evidence has been presented publicly to confirm these accusations, authorities are urging those who believe they have been targeted to file formal complaints with the Puebla State Attorney General’s Office (FGE). This step is crucial for the investigation to move forward and, if her involvement is verified, for her to face legal consequences.
This case highlights ongoing concerns about safety and trust in digital dating platforms, especially for young people navigating relationships in urban environments. It also underscores the importance of community vigilance and official channels to address such crimes.
