Thousands of families in Puebla will face water supply disruptions starting Monday, July 13, as Agua de Puebla para Todos announced a complete shutdown of wells and the Atlixcáyotl Water Treatment Plant. This interruption, caused by hydraulic works on Bulevar de las Cascadas, will affect 53 residential developments, including Lomas de Angelópolis I and II, Cascatta, and Ocoyucan.
The water cut began on July 13 and is scheduled to last until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15. However, the company warns that service restoration will be gradual, with normal supply expected only by the weekend. Depending on the area, residents may experience anything from low water pressure to a total suspension of service.
These works are part of a broader effort to interconnect hydraulic infrastructure and strengthen water supply in the region. Agua de Puebla para Todos urges users to store water in advance and use it responsibly during this period.
For those in need, the company has made support channels available, including water trucks, to help mitigate the impact. This proactive approach highlights the importance of investing in infrastructure improvements to ensure long-term access to essential services in rapidly growing urban areas like Lomas de Angelópolis.
