Taylor Swift Wedding Trash Turns into Collector’s Items for Fans

Post by usertopnews

What some might see as mere garbage, others view as a unique keepsake. Following the rumored wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce on July 3 at Madison Square Garden, discarded items found around the venue have been transformed into collectible memorabilia, sparking curiosity among Swift’s devoted fanbase.

Artist Justin Gignac, known for turning New York City street trash into art, curated and sold these objects through his website. The items—ranging from cigarette butts and bottle caps to a surprising ovulation test kit—were packaged under the name “Not Invited Edition: Found Wedding Memories of Taylor and Travis.” Each package was priced up to $25.

According to the product description, buyers received a random assortment that could include:
– Straws
– A single AirPod
– A ring-shaped candy
– A rainbow-colored fan
– Disposable cutlery
– Caution tape
– The ovulation test kit

Gignac made it clear that customers couldn’t pick specific items, jokingly encouraging them to use “crystals, totems, and vision boards” to attract their desired piece. He described the collection as “the closest thing to Taylor and Travis’s big day you can get without an invitation.”

This initiative marked the debut of Gignac’s “Pocket Garbage” series, designed to let fans carry a fragment of the couple’s special day wherever they go. By the time of reporting, all packages had sold out. Gignac, who shares his work on TikTok under @newyorkcitygarbage, even posted a video dressed in a tuxedo, holding a dustpan and trash bag, humorously playing the role of a wedding cleanup crew.

The memorabilia frenzy didn’t stop there. TMZ reported that an airbag allegedly collected during the wedding was listed on eBay for a staggering $49,999.99, attracting over 200 views despite the high price.

The star-studded event reportedly included guests like Jessica Alba, Adam Sandler, Graham Norton, and Lena Dunham. According to NBC News, Swift and Kelce wrote their own vows, with Swift’s even incorporating some of her songs. One attendee noted, “You’d think the bride would cry the most, but it was actually Travis who got the most emotional.”

Musical legends Paul McCartney and Stevie Nicks also performed, while guests enjoyed games offering raffle prizes such as designer handbags and a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle.

This playful yet poignant way of commemorating the wedding highlights how fans find meaning in unexpected places—and how even discarded items can become treasured symbols of cultural moments.
