Puebla’s Government Shares Progress Report on Cablebús Project Ahead of Congressional Hearing

Post by usertopnews

On Thursday, the Puebla state government delivered a detailed report to the local Congress outlining the current status of the Cablebús system implementation. José Luis García Parra, coordinator of the Puebla Cabinet, emphasized that this step aligns with legal transparency obligations and reflects the administration’s commitment to openness and accountability.

Sharing a photo of the submitted documents on his X account, García Parra highlighted the project’s development under Governor Alejandro Armenta’s vision of an open, responsible, and citizen-focused government. “We believe in transparency and dialogue. Today I delivered to Congress the report on the Cable Transportation System’s progress, fulfilling legal requirements and under the governor’s leadership,” he wrote.

This report delivery comes just days before García Parra’s scheduled appearance before the full Congress on July 15 at noon. During this session, he will present further updates on the Cablebús and address questions from various political parties. Due to the project’s high public interest, legislators have extended his initial presentation time from 20 to 40 minutes.

In recent weeks, García Parra has consistently stressed that the Cablebús initiative is advancing through citizen dialogue and openness. He also dismissed rumors about construction restrictions near the cable route or claims that recent reforms to the Land Use Law aim to fast-track the project. Instead, he explained that the reform intends to harmonize municipal urban development plans with state and federal strategies, such as the Housing for Well-being program, without altering municipal authorities’ powers.

As Puebla moves forward with this innovative transport system, the government’s transparent approach and efforts to integrate urban planning signal a promising step toward inclusive and sustainable mobility solutions for the region.
