Rescue teams wrapped up their second day of searching the Chichicazapan Caves in Cuetzalan del Progreso this Thursday without locating the three individuals still missing.

Since the accident, emergency crews—including Civil Protection brigades, firefighters, state police, and specialized rescuers—have been working nonstop in the challenging cave system. They face obstacles like rising water levels, strong currents, and difficult terrain that complicate the operation.

So far, the official count stands at three people rescued alive, one man found deceased, and three still unaccounted for.
