A 25-year-old man from Puebla was detained by Zapopan municipal police after damaging World Cup-themed decorations in the city center. The incident occurred following Mexico’s victory, when the public had gathered to celebrate.

The decorations included soccer ball displays, one of which the man climbed and knocked down. Witnesses at the scene reacted by throwing objects at him until he was forced to come down, at which point police intervened and arrested him.

Zapopan’s local government shared a video on social media highlighting the man’s actions as an example of what not to do during public celebrations.
