A disturbing case of animal abuse has sparked outrage in the Villas Periférico neighborhood of Puebla. Over the past weekend, a dog named Kalua suffered severe burns after a neighbor threw boiling water on him, reportedly due to the dog’s barking.

According to social media reports, the incident unfolded in Villas Periférico, where the dog’s persistent barking led a resident to take this cruel action. Kalua’s owners rushed him to a veterinarian, who confirmed that the dog sustained serious injuries, including exposed skin that puts him at high risk of infections.

In response, the owners filed a formal complaint with Puebla’s Fiscalía General del Estado and the Instituto de Bienestar Animal, seeking justice and protection for Kalua.
