Margarita Marín Sánchez, a resident of San Gabriel Tetzoyocan, tragically lost her life on the afternoon of Sunday, June 28, 2026, when a tree fell onto the vehicle she was driving amid a severe storm in Puebla city.

The accident took place at the start of Recta a Cholula, in the La Paz neighborhood, where strong winds and heavy rain caused the tree to collapse onto her car. Emergency services, including Civil Protection, firefighters, paramedics, and security forces, responded promptly to the scene after receiving the emergency call. Despite their efforts to remove the tree, they confirmed that Margarita had no signs of life upon examination.
