President Claudia Sheinbaum confirmed that she has met with mothers searching for their missing loved ones during her administration, emphasizing her personal involvement in addressing these painful cases.

“I have met with mothers searching for their missing relatives, but I don’t like to do propaganda,” Sheinbaum said. She also highlighted that when she is present, the reception of groups and collectives is handled exceptionally by Rosa Icela Rodríguez, Arturo Medina, and a representative from the Search Commission.

This statement reflects the ongoing efforts by the government to engage with civil society groups focused on human rights and the search for disappeared persons, a critical issue in Mexico. While Sheinbaum downplays publicizing these meetings, the acknowledgment of direct dialogue signals a willingness to listen and respond to affected communities.
