Pomeranian Puppy Dies at Pet Spa in Roma-Condesa: What We Know So Far

Post by usertopnews

A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Mexico City’s Roma-Condesa neighborhood when “Coco,” a 10-month-old Pomeranian puppy, died while being cared for at a local pet spa. The tragedy has sparked outrage among animal rights advocates and the wider community.

According to journalist Carlos Jiménez, known as “C4,” Coco was left at “Spa Pet,” located at the intersection of Coahuila and Monterrey streets in Roma Sur, for a routine bath and grooming. However, when the owner returned, the puppy was handed back lifeless.

The individual responsible for Coco’s care was Kevin “N,” an apprentice at the spa. Some reports from social media users suggest that the puppy may have died from physical abuse, allegedly being struck multiple times with a brush because he resisted grooming. It’s important to note that this version has not been officially confirmed.

Kevin “N” was detained by officers from Mexico City’s Secretariat of Citizen Security, and the city’s prosecutor’s office is actively investigating the case. As of now, there is no information on whether the spa has been shut down following the incident.

This case highlights ongoing concerns about animal welfare and the need for stricter oversight in pet care services, especially in urban areas where many rely on such facilities. For pet owners, it’s a reminder to stay vigilant and demand accountability to protect their furry companions.
