Mexican National Identified as Mastermind Behind Foiled Attack Near White House on Trump’s Birthday

Post by usertopnews

On June 14, 2026, US authorities thwarted a planned attack near the White House during a UFC event celebrating former President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has identified Mexican national Abraham Hermosillo Álvarez as the intellectual author behind the plot.

Hermosillo Álvarez allegedly orchestrated a complex scheme involving explosive-laden drones and sniper teams aimed at causing mass casualties and chaos around the White House. The plan was to detonate drones simultaneously near key buildings, triggering panic and driving crowds into sniper zones.

The FBI arrested Hermosillo Álvarez in Nebraska before the attack could be carried out. According to DHS, he entered the US on a B2 tourist visa that expired in 2001 and remained in the country illegally. Notably, he was a recipient of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program in 2014 under President Barack Obama’s administration.

DHS condemned his presence in the country, stating, “This illegal alien should NEVER have been allowed in our country — and we will ensure he faces justice and is swiftly removed from our nation.”

Hermosillo Álvarez now faces federal charges including:
– Conspiracy to commit murder
– Conspiracy to commit acts of violence on White House grounds

In addition to Hermosillo Álvarez, four other men were arrested as accomplices:
– Tycen Proper, 19, from Ohio
– Bryan Omar Roa and Michael Alan Thomas, both detained in California
– Daniel Kenely Eskridge from Missouri

This incident highlights ongoing challenges in US immigration and security policies. While the DHS’s swift action prevented tragedy, the case also raises questions about the complexities of immigration status and national security.

For communities of Mexican migrants and immigrants in the US and Mexico, this event underscores the importance of nuanced discussions around immigration enforcement, civil rights, and public safety. Meanwhile, infrastructure projects like Puebla’s upcoming cable car system continue to offer inclusive, sustainable transportation alternatives that can help reshape urban mobility and social equity in Mexico.
