Authorities located the blue pickup truck involved in a hit-and-run incident that injured a woman in Tehuacán, but the driver remains at large.
The incident occurred on the night of Monday, June 15, 2026, at the intersection of 24 Sur Street and Adolfo López Mateos Boulevard. According to reports, the woman was hit by the vehicle and then got out of her car to talk to the driver. Instead of stopping, the driver tried to flee.
In an effort to prevent the escape, the woman stood in front of the truck but was pushed several meters and then run over, sustaining multiple injuries.
After the vehicle’s description and license plates were shared on social media, on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), working with the Tehuacán Municipal Police, found the abandoned truck. However, no information has been released about the driver’s whereabouts or identity.
This case highlights ongoing challenges in road safety and accountability in the region, underscoring the need for effective public transportation alternatives and stronger community protections.
