Woman Detained in San Andrés Cholula Claims Connections to Veracruz Drug Lord and Influences to Avoid Jail

Post by usertopnews

On June 11, Ariana N. was detained by San Andrés Cholula municipal police for driving under the influence and entering a restricted area in the Parque Intermunicipal. The arrest, which involved police using force in front of her young children, initially sparked criticism on social media for alleged police abuse.

However, the narrative shifted after videos surfaced showing Ariana’s condition during the arrest and her subsequent release upon paying a fine. In these recordings, she boldly claimed that money holds more power than authorities, stating, “Everything that comes out of my mouth becomes reality, and I have proof at 35 years old.” She added, “Mexico runs on money, and without money, even if you’re a hardworking police officer, you won’t make it.”

During the ride to the police station, Ariana predicted that money would ultimately overpower the authorities and that officers would remember “the mom who was arrested.” Once at the station, she identified herself as a jewelry businesswoman and, without being prompted, revealed knowledge of individuals involved in criminal activities.

Most notably, Ariana claimed to have been romantically involved with a supposed drug lord from Veracruz. She also mentioned having served as president of the La Vista neighborhood and currently residing in Lomas de Angelópolis III.

According to reports, Ariana’s breathalyzer test indicated a third-degree level of intoxication, which she denied, insisting she had only consumed a small shot of tequila. Throughout her detention, she repeatedly blamed Puebla’s mayor, José Chedraui Budib, despite the incident occurring in San Andrés Cholula and being handled by its local authorities.

The controversy intensified the day after her arrest when Morena local deputy and influencer Nay Salvatori interviewed Ariana on social media. Salvatori expressed support for Ariana, suggesting she was being revictimized and calling for restraint in spreading potentially misleading information. She also criticized the police for alleged abuse of authority during the arrest.

The interview revealed that Ariana’s children, aged 12 and 6, were emotionally affected by the incident and might need psychological support. Salvatori publicly assured Ariana she was not alone and mentioned that Puebla’s governor was aware of the case and also offered support.

This public backing has sparked further debate online, with users questioning both Ariana’s claims during her detention and the deputy’s endorsement, especially given Salvatori’s political ambitions in San Andrés Cholula.

For migrants and young adults navigating life in Mexico, this case highlights ongoing tensions around law enforcement, social influence, and justice—reminding us how power dynamics and public narratives shape experiences in complex ways.
